Characteristically Australian, Eucalyptus is found nearly everywhere in the landscape and often a busy way-station and focus for birdlife business. This Gum Tree in particular features potential nesting hollows for parrots who fly by for inspection in rainbow flashes of colour.

Well known landmark, Mt Warning is visible far and wide although often shrouded, sometimes shouldering rainbows. Very shy and rarely encountered, Alberts Lyrebird are at times clearly heard calling from the more impenetrable parts of now world-heritage listed sub-tropical rainforest.
